Why We Built entrance.easycsit.com (and How to Use It)
If you are preparing for the BSc CSIT entrance, the practice material you find online rarely matches what the exam actually looks like. The questions are buried in paid apps, the videos are scattered across channels, and most MCQ tools score you without ever showing you the right answer.
entrance.easycsit.com is our attempt to fix that. It is a second, separate site from the main easyCSIT, built around the entrance exam by the same student team. It is free, like everything else we make, and you do not need an account to use it.
Three problems that led to it
We did not start with a grand plan. We started with problems we kept hitting while preparing ourselves.
Full mock tests were paywalled or one-off. Coaching centres sell practice papers, and often you pay once, attempt once, and that is it. There was no free way to take a full-length paper more than once and see your mistakes.
The material was scattered. A good video here, notes there, a question bank somewhere else, each with a different structure. Tracking what you had covered, and what you had not, was a job on its own.
Practice that scored you but did not teach you. Most MCQ tools told you how many you got right and left it there. If you picked a wrong option, nothing told you which answer was correct or which chapter you needed to revisit.
So we built the thing we wished existed: subject-by-subject material, practice questions that show the answer, and full papers that behave like the real exam. Free to use.
Five subjects, structured like the entrance
The entrance is split across five subjects, and so is the site:
-
Physics : 25 marks
-
Chemistry : 25 marks
-
Mathematics : 25 marks
-
English : 15 marks
-
Computer GK : 10 marks
Last checked October 2026. The marks split belongs to the current admission cycle and can change. The official TU/IOST notice is the authority, not this article. For eligibility, the application process and the full timeline, see BSc CSIT Entrance: Eligibility, Exam Pattern, Marks Split and Timeline.
Each subject page lists its chapters and videos, so you can see at a glance what a subject covers without opening five different websites. The videos are embedded from YouTube, with credit to the original creators. You can work through a subject chapter by chapter.
MCQs that show the answer, not just the result
Under each chapter there is MCQ practice for that chapter. Answer a question and the correct option is highlighted immediately : you do not have to finish the whole test to learn whether you were right.
That is a small thing, but it changes how you practice. Wrong answers become lessons instead of just red marks. When a chapter keeps producing wrong answers, you know exactly where to go back.
Mock papers and past-year papers, timed like the real exam
On the Mock Papers page you get full-length papers built from the same question bank : mock papers, and past-year papers we have been able to collect.
A paper runs like the real entrance:
-
questions are grouped by subject, so you move through the subjects in blocks instead of jumping between them;
-
the timer is set to two hours, matching the entrance duration;
-
answers are saved on your device as you go, so you can step away and come back;
-
when you finish, you get a breakdown of correct, incorrect and unattempted answers and a percentage;
-
you can go back through the paper afterwards and see what you missed.
Use it as a loop: take a mock paper, look at where your marks are going, redo the MCQs for the chapters that dragged you down, then take another paper. The breakdown tells you what to study next : you do not have to guess.
Small tools that make daily practice easier
A few things on the site are designed for the days when you do not feel like a full paper.
-
Daily MCQ. A short, timed MCQ set appears on the site each day. Your progress is saved automatically, your score is shown when you finish, and you can retake it.
-
Exam countdown. When the exam date is announced, the home page shows a live countdown. It is a quiet reminder of how much time you actually have.
-
Feedback page. If a question looks wrong, a link is broken, or you want a feature, tell us on the feedback page. The site has mostly improved because students pointed out what was not working.
What this site is not
To keep expectations honest:
-
It is not affiliated with TU or IOST. We build practice material; the official notice decides your eligibility, your centre and your marks. When the two ever disagree, the notice wins.
-
It does not host written notes. It is chapters, videos, MCQs and papers. For written material, the main easyCSIT site has subject notes.
-
It shows you the right answer, it does not explain it. You still have to work through why an answer is correct. That part is yours : we just make it possible to find out which answer was right.
Try a mock paper
The fastest way to understand what we built is to use it. Open entrance.easycsit.com, pick a subject or jump straight to a mock paper, and see where you stand. It is free, it is timed like the real thing, and the questions tell you the answers.
If something is missing, wrong, or broken while you use it, tell us.
