Why EasyCSIT Is Free — and How You Can Keep It That Way

1.00

When you open EasyCSIT, you don't see a paywall. No locked videos. No subscription. Just the material you need for your CSIT course. That is intentional.

The question many students ask is simple: "Why is EasyCSIT free, and will it stay that way?"

Why it's free

EasyCSIT is a free learning platform for BSc CSIT students, built and run by CSIT students. It exists to make CSIT study material easier to find and use, especially when exams are close and time is tight.

Two deliberate choices keep it free:

  • We only organize free material. We embed videos from YouTube instead of re-uploading them, and the credit stays with the original creators. We also collect and structure notes, past papers, and syllabus details that are already available for free.

  • We focus on access, not paywalls. The goal is to be the access point of information for CSIT students in Nepal. Keeping it free helps reach as many students as possible.

As with other student-built tools, the work is done because it solves a real problem for students like us, not to monetize it.

How it stays free

"Free to use" does not mean "cost-free to run." There are small running costs to keep the site online and working. What keeps those costs low and sustainable is a combination of practical choices:

  • Lean maintenance. Over the years, the platform has been reworked many times. Those reworks have helped simplify parts of it, so keeping it running now costs almost nothing.

  • No premium content. By not splitting content behind a paywall, the platform stays aligned with its original purpose: making study material accessible.

  • Community support. When support comes, it goes toward keeping the platform running and updated.

Right now, support has been limited. The biggest gap we have is complete question-and-answer coverage for every subject, so you can not only practice questions but also read and learn the answers. That needs more hands.

How you can help keep it that way

Keeping EasyCSIT free is something the team cannot do alone. Small contributions add up. Here are practical ways you can help:

  • Donate if you can. If EasyCSIT has saved you time, you can support it through the Support Us page using eSewa. Every contribution helps cover running costs.

  • Contribute notes, corrections, or feedback. If something is missing, wrong, or unclear, let us know on the feedback page. Fixing small things helps every student who comes after you.

  • Help with Q&A coverage. If you have solved questions or clear answers for any subject, sharing them can help build the full coverage we are working toward. You can send them via the feedback page.

  • Share with your classmates. The simplest way to help is to share easycsit.com or entrance.easycsit.com with classmates who might find it useful.

  • Join the community. Join the Discord via the site header. It's a place to ask doubts, share resources, and help each other out.

A final note

EasyCSIT stays free because its priority is accessibility for students. Your support, in any form that works for you, helps keep that promise going. If you can help even a little, it makes a difference.
